Douwe Dijkstra
Douwe Dijkstra is a filmmaker and video artist from the Netherlands. He studied Illustration Design at ArtEZ. His humorous and socially engaged work combines film, animation and VFX, and includes ‘Démontable’ (2014), ‘Voor Film’ (2015) and ‘Green Screen Gringo’ (2016). As a co-founder of the 33 1/3 collective, he intertwines theatre productions and video projections. His films have been awarded the Grand Prix in Clermont Ferrand’s Labo Competition, the Bill Douglas Award for International Short Film at Glasgow Short Film Festival, Best Contemporary Experimental Short at Sapporo International Short Film Festival, the Confrontations award at Interfilm Berlin and the Norman Award at Stuttgarter Filmwinter.
