Morgan Knibbe

With his short film ‘Shipwreck’, Morgan Knibbe won more than 20 awards, including two Oscar qualifiers, the Bill Douglas Awards at GSFF15, the Silver Leopard at Locarno Film Festival and a nomination for a European Film Award. His debut feature ‘Those Who Feel the Fire Burning’ was the Dutch submission to the Academy Awards for the category of Documentary Feature. Nominated at IDFA for best documentary feature, it also won the prize for best doc in Guanajuato and received very positive reviews. He went onto direct the short documentary ‘The Atomic Soldiers’, which premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam and won the Dutch Directors Guild Grand Prix for Best Film of 2018. Morgan is currently working on his first fiction feature.
