Panel Talk
Film festivals bring together diverse voices and cinematic styles from across the globe, reflecting both local and international realities. But what happens when films addressing urgent social and political issues spark controversy instead of solidarity? And how do festivals cope when faced with funding cuts and external political pressures?
This panel talk was organised by Filmfest Dresden in collaboration with Talking Shorts and moderated by Vincent Förster (programmer, Berlinale Generation) with the participation of Diego Armando Aparicio (festival director, Queer Wave Cyprus), Hoda Taheri (filmmaker & artist), Sarah Dombrink (programmer, INTERFILM International Short Film Festival Berlin), and Ocean Hale Meißner (queer activist, Youth Education in Rural Saxony).
Hosted and produced by Filmfest Dresden, in collaboration with Talking Shorts and Weiterdenken – Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Sachsen e.V.
