Film festivals have been canceled or are taking place online, cinemas are closed and film production has been suspended. How do you deal with this as a novice player in the film industry? What is the impact on film development? And what is still possible?

In this panel talk, filmmaker Mila Zhluktenko (Opera Glasses), producer Erik Glijnis (Lemming Film) and distributor Marija Milanovic (Lemonade Films) discuss their new reality and share their perspectives on the long-term impact on the film industry and talent development. Moderated by Sanne Jehoul (Glasgow Short Film Festival).

Sanne Jehoul is an arts worker focused on moving image curation, programming, festival strategy, and talent development. She currently leads on the talent support programme at BFI Doc Society, and before this headed up the programme at Glasgow Short Film Festival as well as managing the short film slate of sales and festival distribution agency Square Eyes. She has worked with multiple festivals across Europe in programming, selection, and production, and sat on international festival juries and panels as well as hosting filmmaker conversations and masterclasses. She sits on the board of Kortfilm.be.
