Elif Türkan Erişik
Elif Türkan Erışık is a digital marketer by day and a freelance writer and film critic by night. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, she moved to Germany in 2018 and has been bearing the brunt of the grey and gloomy Berliner winters ever since. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Technical University of Berlin and a Master’s degree in Media Studies from Humboldt University of Berlin. She is interested in sharp cultural criticism, the films of Charlie Kaufman, and cyberfeminism. Her words have been published in Little White Lies, Polyesterzine, Film Daze, and dadanizm. She was selected to participate in the 8th edition of the European Film Criticism workshop. She likes to spend her free time reading novels, trying to pluck up the courage to pitch, and listening to original Broadway cast recordings of Sondheim musicals.
